Reclaiming Water Resource: socio-economic problems and perspectives

The deficit of high-quality fresh water is one of the main problems of sustainable development in most countries of the world. This is due to climate change and anthropogenic pollution of water sources. One of the main reasons for the depletion of water resources is low power of treatment facilities. At the same time, most of the treatment facilities are designed on the basis of outdated technical solutions, and their level of wear is approaching 100%. The article deals with the main problems of sewage recovery; the definition of the term "water reclaiming" is proposed; directions for usage of water resources after their repelling are determined; A comparative analysis of the state of the process of reclaiming of water resources in other countries of the world is carried out; The main tasks in the field of water quality improvement are highlighted. In order to activate reclaiming of water resources, mechanism of the energy service contract was proposed as one of the main prospects for the development of the water sector in Ukraine and, accordingly, the development of water re-watering processes.
